Overview

Lower part of this National park are green fields , villages , forests and upper part includes High mountains , glaciers , rivers etc . You can find 3000 different species of plants , 440 species of Birds and 75 different species of mammals . the major animals you will not miss to see are red panda , wild boar , wild yaks , musk dear , etc …if you are really lucky then you will also be able to see the Snow leopard .
From the glacier of south base camp of Mt Makalu (8481 meters ) offeres panaromic view of Mt Everest , Mt Lhotse and other mt ranges along with high altitude snowy lakes .

Itinerary

Day 1 Kathmandu to Tumlingtar ( by flight ) , Drive to Chichila 1980 meters , 3 hours 

Day 2 Chichila to Num ( 1040 meters , 6 hours walk ) 

Day 3 Num to Seduwa ( 1500 meters , 6 hours walk ) 

Day 4 Seduwa to Tashi gaon ( 2100 meters , 5 hours walk ) 

Day 5 Tashi gaon to Khongma Danda ( 3500 meters , 6-7 hours walk ) 

Day 6 Acclimatization day in Khongma Danda , some side walks 

Day 7 Khongama Danda to Dobato ( 3500 meters , 6 hours walk ) 

Day 8 Dobato to Yangla Kharka ( 3557 meters , 6.30 hours walk ) 

Day 9 Yangla Kharka to Langmale kharka ( 4410 meters , 6 hours walk ) 

Day 10 Langmale kharka to Makalu base camp ( 4870 meters , 6-7 hours walk ) 

Day 11 Explore around Makalu base camp 

Day 12 Makalu base camp to Yangla Kharka ( 3557 meters , 6 hours  walk ) 

Day 13 Yangla Kharka to Dobato ( 3500 meters , 5 hours  walk ) 

Day 14 Dobato to Khongama Danda ( 3500 meters , 5.30 hours walk ) 

Day 15 Khongma Danda to Tashi gaon ( 2100 meters , 5 hours walk ) 

Day 16 Tashi gaon to Seduwa ( 1500 meters , 5 hours walk ) 

Day 17 Seduwa to Num ( 1040 meters , 5 hours walk ) 

Day 18 Num to Chichila and drive to Tumlingtar ( 1980 meters , 5 hours ) 

Day 19 Tumlingtar to Kathmandu ( By flight )

FAQ

How difficult in this Trek ? 

This trek is strenuous grade of trek so you will need real physical fitness to do this trek . 

Is there any possibility to get effected by altitude sickness on this trek ? 

Snow line in Nepal begins from an altitude of 3500 meters so when you start going above this altitude you need to be careful and follow the guide’s instructions … walk slow on your own pace , drink liquids as much as your body asks , make many breaks etc . 

How do i do if i need emergency rescue ? 

If you need emergency rescue because of altitude sickness or any other reasons , We will collect your travel insurance policies in the beginning of trek so that in case of an emergency we will coordinate with your insurance company and the helicopter rescue service will be provided . 

Can i customize the trek ?

Yes ! You can customize the trek . It is always good idea to customize your trek for longer days to avoid altitude sickness .
