Annapurna Panorama Trek

9 Days

The Annapurna Panorama trek is ideal for those looking for a short and relatively easy trek to see the Annapurna mountain range in warmer weather (thanks to lower elevations). This exciting Short and Easy Trekking Package is designed to provide travelers with an immensely satisfying scenic walk within a limited time frame, as well as a taste of Nepal’s diversity of natural and cultural gems.

This scenic hiking trail winds through patchwork valleys, dense green forests, and past icy waterfalls where we can cool off with white mineral, natural water. A tantalizing glimpse of the high mountains in front of our eyes awaits us at every turn, with entire horizons revealed as we ascend higher.

The Annapurna Region’s most popular massifs are protected by Nepal’s first and largest conservation area, which offers breathtaking views of Mt. Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna, and Annapurna South. Amazing panoramic views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, Tukuche Peak, and the world’s third highest mountain, Mt. Dhaulagiri, are also available.

Itinerary

We will leave early in the morning for a scenic drive to Pokhara, passing through colorful rural settings and arriving in the lake city after about 6 hours. When we arrive in Pokhara, we will check into our hotel, refresh, and take a stroll around the lakeside, visiting the Phewa Lake and the Barahi temple. Spend the night in a hotel.

We'll hit the road in an hour and arrive in Nayapool, where the actual trekking trail begins. We'll take an easy trail through many small villages, stopping for lunch along the way. We'll follow Bhurungdi Khola and its canyon all the way to Hile. The trail is unusually densely populated by people of various ethnicities and castes. We'll spend our first night in a natural-feeling lodge surrounded by paddy fields.

The early morning climb is difficult over the stony staircases, through Ulleri with herds of mules and donkeys transporting provisions for the upper regions. In the afternoon, the trail winds through various fields and lush green forests, home to a variety of bird species and flowers; the most common plant species here are the world's tallest rhododendron trees.

We will eventually arrive in Ghorepani, which is located on a ridge overlooking the mountain ranges and is a popular tourist destination in the area.. A great view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri can be seen from Poonhill, which is only a 30-minute walk from Ghorepani. Poonhill, as one of the trek's main attractions, is not to be missed. Overnight stay at a trekking lodge.

A 45-minute hike will take us to Poon Hill (3200m) to see the sunrise over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machchhapuchhre (6993m. The hike descends to Ghorepani after a refreshing detour in the morning, where we will have a hot breakfast at the lodge. We will continue our journey to Ghandruk from here (2650 m).). The path begins by ascending through a rhododendron forest towards Deurali Hill. Then we descend to Banthati (moderate trail, not always downhill).

The majority of the trail will take us through rhododendron forests, the colorful flowers that adorn the jungle in spring when they bloom. We'll stop for lunch in Banthati before continuing on a steep trail to Tadapani, a small village with a few tea houses. Spend the night in a lodge.

After breakfast at Tadapani, we will gently descend through rhododendron, oak, and other dense forests, with various birds chirping along the way. This is one of the most popular bird-watching destinations. Ghandruk is a traditional Gurung village full of friendly, welcoming people who will delight us with their warm hospitality.

There is a handicraft center as well as a Gurung museum where we can learn more about these amazing people and their history. From here, we can see sunsets and sunrises that illuminate mountains such as Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m), Annapurna III (7755m), and Fishtail. Overnight stay in a trekking lodge.

After breakfast, the trail climbs through Ghandruk village for a while before descending through farming villages to a river, where we will cross a suspension bridge at the bottom and then climb a short steep climb to Jhinudanda. We'll rest in the lodge before walking down to the riverbank to enjoy the natural hot spring. We'll walk back up to the lodge after relaxing in the hot tub and spend the night.

We can return to the hot spring in the morning for another dip before continuing down through the valley to cross another bridge. Following that, there will be a short ascent to Landruk. There are a few more suspension bridges to cross along the way, as well as many waterfalls to enjoy. Landruk is a large Magar village with residents dressed in traditional Magar attire and culture.

The trek continues after lunch at Landruk, with a few ups and downs leading to the bottom of a hill at Bhaisekharka. Following that, the trail climbs steeply to a ridge at Deurali and then through a forest.. Deurali is perched on a ridge with spectacular views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, the Annapurna range, and other peaks. Overnight stay at a trekking lodge.

The final day of the trek is a short and easy hike to Dhampus village. After Dhampus, the trail descends to Phedi, our destination for the day. We will arrive in Pokhara after a 30-minute drive and spend the night there.
