Embarking on the Everest Base Camp trek was a life-changing experience. The journey began in Lukla, where the small plane ride offered breathtaking views of the Himalayas. As we trekked through quaint villages like Namche Bazaar and Tengboche, the hospitality of the Sherpa people was heartwarming. The trail itself was challenging yet rewarding, with each step bringing us closer to the iconic Everest. The highlight was reaching Base Camp, standing at the foot of the world’s tallest peak—it felt surreal. I recommend visiting in the spring for the best weather and fewer crowds. Don’t miss the sunrise at Kala Patthar; the view of Everest bathed in golden light is unforgettable.

“Trekking the Annapurna Circuit with mtnepal was a dream come true. The Annapurna Circuit Trek offers an incredible variety of landscapes and cultural experiences. Starting from the lush green valleys of Bhulbhule, the trail winds through terraced fields, alpine forests, and arid landscapes reminiscent of Tibet. Crossing the Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters was the most challenging yet exhilarating part of the trek. The views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre were awe-inspiring. Along the way, we stayed in charming teahouses, enjoying delicious Nepali cuisine and interacting with friendly locals. Make sure to take a side trip to Tilicho Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world, for its stunning blue waters. The best time to visit is in October or November when the skies are clear and the weather is stable.

The Langtang Valley Trek is perfect for those looking for a less crowded and more intimate trekking experience. The trailhead at Syabrubesi leads you into the heart of Langtang National Park. The trek follows the Langtang River through lush forests and quaint Tamang villages, with the chance to spot wildlife like red pandas and Himalayan tahr. Kyanjin Gompa, the final destination, offers panoramic views of Langtang Lirung and surrounding peaks. One of the highlights was climbing to Tserko Ri for a stunning sunrise over the mountains. While the infrastructure is still recovering from the 2015 earthquake, the resilience and warmth of the local people made the journey unforgettable. Springtime, when rhododendrons are in full bloom, is the ideal season for this trek.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a hidden gem in Nepal, offering a remote and adventurous experience. Starting from Soti Khola, the trek takes you through diverse landscapes—from subtropical jungles to high alpine meadows. The highlight was crossing the Larkya La Pass at 5,135 meters, with breathtaking views of Manaslu and the surrounding peaks. The trail is less crowded than Everest or Annapurna, giving a sense of solitude and connection with nature. The teahouses along the route were basic but cozy, and the local cuisine was a treat after long days of trekking. Make sure to visit the ancient monastery at Lho and take a detour to the hidden valley of Tsum. The best months to trek are October and November for clear skies and stable weather.
