Bird’s Eye View – Chandragiri to Taudaha Nature Day Hiking Kathmandu

1 Day

For those who wish to discover the Himalayan foothills and take in breathtaking mountain vistas but don’t have time for a lengthier walk, this day hike is the perfect excursion. Take the thrilling cable car up Mount Chandragiri, then trek down to Taudaha. Along the route, your local guide will explain you about living in the Himalayas and make sure you don’t get lost.

Itinerary

Around 8:30 am, a representative of Himalayan Planet Adventures will pick you up from your hotel and drive you in a private vehicle to the beginning of the Chandragiri Cable Car as part of the Chandragiri Nature Day Hiking Trip to Taudaha. It just takes ten action-packed minutes to ascend Chandragiri Hill (2,520 m), rising above the jungles below. The expansive views of the towering Himalayan peaks are more visible at higher elevations. View the numerous mountain ranges, from the Annapurnas in the west to Mt. Everest, the tallest peak in the world, in the east, from the summit. The Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple, a significant Hindu pilgrimage site, is located here.

After admiring the magnificent mountains, continue along the ridge for even more breathtaking views of the Himalayas. After two hours, stop for tea at Jiban Safal Hotel before continuing on to Champa Devi for more spectacular views. Continue on before turning down on the trail to Taudaha. The final hour descends through the jungles where wildflowers abound, taking one hour to reach your car. Hiking around Kathmandu takes about nine hours total.
