Helambu Gosainkunda is a fantastic place to spend a week exploring the Himalayan Ranges. Gosainkunda is a sacred site for Hindus and Buddhists alike. Throughout the month of August, a major Holy celebration is held in Gosainkunda Lake. A mythical feature about this location is that it is covered with 108 lakes, the majority of which are visible during the trek.

Exhilarating routes, beautiful campsites, culturally and religiously rich hamlet communities, a high pass, and a sacred visit to the holy Gosainkunda Lake are all part of this trek.During the way, we can learn about the fabled Yolmo culture of high mountain communities, marvel at vistas of lonely high mountains, and watch farmers toil in the fields with handcrafted tools. The culturally diverse settlements along the Helambu Gosainkunda trekking route are friendly, kind, and welcome.

Overview

The path will take us past magnificent frozen lakes, intricately woven Sherpa hamlets, vivid Rhododendron woods, different Shrubs, unusual Orchids, wildlife dwellers, and amazing views of the snow-clad Mountains.

We will also be able to see the spectacular Mt. Dhaulagiri, which stretches all the way to Mt. Everest, as well as the alpine yak pasture of Kyanjin Gompa.

The Helambu Gosainkunda trekking trek begins in Sundarijal village, north of Kathmandu, and ends at Dhunche village, Langtang area. Take the bus back to Kathmandu from there.

The wildlife that lives in the forests along the path includes Red Pandas, Himalayan Black Bears, Wild Boars, and Langur Monkeys. Snow-capped summits such as Langtang Lirung, Pemthang Ri, Langshisha Ri, Dorje Lakpa, and Kangchenpo, as well as Tilman’s fluted peak, are a must-see.
