Langtang Valley is a stunning valley located north of Kathmandu. Langtang is also a national park with an extent of 1710 square kilometers. It is also the first Himalayan national park. The area is sparsely populated, and the trail is rarely traveled. As a result, the walk is a lonely and tranquil experience amidst stunning natural beauty and quaint communities. The valley is thought to have been discovered while seeking for a missing yak. It was appropriately named Langtang since Lang means yak in Tibetan and tang means to follow.
